The series aims to reduce operators’ maintenance costs and boasts a reduction of between 40 and 80 per cent in transmission costs, according to the vendor.
Based on telecom-grade IP broadband platform and modular design, the series also adopts Ultra Mobile Broadband technology that allows operators to supply various kinds of multimedia services to end users.

The series includes the BTS3606AE, BTS3606E, BTS3606C and the ODU3601CE. All will deliver VoIP, BCMCS and wireless broadband access, helping to reduce power consumption by 44 per cent.
Meanwhile, Huawei has recently completed two trials of its WiMAX solution in Japan that have been seen as an important government initiative to introduce broadband coverage in the country by 2010, according to Tech-On.
